Easy walk to market square. Nice place to stay in Portsmouth, no complaints. Free Wi Fi was working perfectly. For sure we would definitely go back...
Courteous staff--Great facility[upgraded to a townhouse] - Will recommend
The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet. Perfect for two people on r&R. The location to downtown was perfect. The view of the water/harbor very relaxing.
We enjoyed the bar lounge upon returning to the hotel at night. It would have been nice to have it stay open until 12:00. When we were there, 8 people arrived just before 11:00 and were turned away.
Room size was small. Picture on website was deceiving. it appears as if you can see the waterfront from your room. Also appears that room at lobby is right on the water front. It is not. Hotel is overpriced. I stayed at the Hilton Boston BayBack and it was much nicer and cheaper.
Best location in Portsmouth. Shops, restaurants and historic area all close by everything is walking distance.
Hard to say. I was glad just to get away and I accomplished that.
The windows were nearly impossible to open and close. The heater/ac was blowing out cold air when it should have been hot. The television was a huge pain, and the remote was nearly useless. My toast was incredibly soggy with my breakfast. I assume this is because it was put undercover with my poached egg, but this doesn't excuse anything. The room was small and dark for the price. I've paid $100 dollars less per night for ocean views, better food and better amenities. This was a huge disappointment.
Convenience to Portsmouth local area events. Enjoyed show at The Music Hall and dinner nearby.
ENjoyed the Bodyworks Cafe, but am concerned that we did not get a receipt for the massage services and am nervous about what charges are on my credit card as a result.
location to downtown
pillows/bedding was not as soft as I remember years ago.
Portsmouth Haborside although slightly pricey was an excellant place to stay. It was very convenient in it's location to the city of Portsmouth. Nice to in walking distance of great restaurants and shops. Would definately recommend this hotel and would stay here again.
Convenient location to the wedding we were attending and downtown shopping, restaurants and sites.
It was convenient to downtown restaurants, local shops and Kittery outlets.
The fridge in the room was loud along with the heater. You could also hear the people in the next room in the shower. I thought they were using ours. If I am a paying guest in your hotel, why am I paying for parking.
I thought that the view we saw online would be where we would be nearby the beach. Totally diappointed with views and proximity to the beaches.
It was located near the waterfront. Parking was easy, if not cheap. The bed was comfortable and the in-room coffee was excellent.
The bathroom was small and smelly. The smell was located to a very dingy shower curtain. The swimming area was tragic - the water was murky and the changing facilities were an old chair and a couple of wall hooks. The sauna was in need of upgrading and was lit by a bare bulb. I would not stay here again.
We liked the staff, both front desk and linen folks, as well as the hotel's proximity to the harbor and wonderful shopping. We loved the bed and the pillows - GREAT!
We did not like the enormous sand pile in front of the hotel effectively limiting the harbor view, nor the steel girder/junk pile adjacent thereto; but most of all, we did not like that the air conditioner only worked intermittently, the TV remote was mostly nonresponsive, and the bathtub drainage system was broken. Also, the carpet was gritty when you took your shoes off, which one tends to do when they try to relax from a hard day of ... whatever.
The hotel was gorgeous and hotel staff was so friendly and personable.
In one of the rooms there was glass shards on the bedspread and floor. As well as red/brown stains on the dust ruffle and wall in the bathroom. It was a bit gross. However, they did comp us for that room which we were very appreciative of.
